His­tor­i­cally, the “well-bred” men were trained in all things gent — they were the defin­i­tive gen­tle­man — always dap­per, versed in his­tory and lit­er­a­ture, polite — and always true to the dude.

Unfor­tu­nately, the mod­ern man places the gen­tle­men on the sissy end of the spec­trum and shies away from the lin­eage of our forefathers.

For­tu­nately for the mod­ern man — the clas­sic gen­tle­men is a dying breed — The Casual Gent has emerged to embrace the styles of today, the eti­quette to back it up, and a good help­ing of “man’s man” for good measure.

The Casual Gent is a place to learn, live, love, and be enter­tained. The blog posts are writ­ten purely from my own per­spec­tive and taste. If I like it — I’ll tell you about it. If I don’t like it — I’ll still tell you about it…[valuable lessons learned here].
